1. Remove lens caps
Remove the lens caps from the front of the optics. Please note that we place the lens caps to protect the lenses whilst we manufacture your loupes – they are not designed to be used on a daily basis.
2. Adjust headstrap
Slide the headstrap onto the ends of the frame, ensuring it is secure prior to use.
3. Put on your loupes
Sit in your usual working position, and focus on an object at your working length
4. Adjust frame (if required)
For the majority of clinicians, no further adjustment is required.
Although your new loupes have been fully tested by our factory technicians, sometimes they may need to be customised to your facial anatomy. The aim is to position the optics as close to your eyes as possible. This is achieved by altering the position of the nosepad. If the frame needs to be lowered on your face, gently spread the nosepad apart. If the frame needs to be raised, squeeze the nosepad together (left picture).
The temple arms can also be moulded to fit the shape of your ears (right picture), although this is often not required
